Myrtle tree midwifery provides expert concierge prenatal, home birth, and postpartum services by a traditionally trained, certified professional midwife in the DMV. Services also include preconception/fertility support, IUI, childbirth education, birth pool rental, breastfeeding support. We incorporate mindfulness, nutrition, and exercise. While our approach is holistic, it is coupled with evidence based practices. We strive to provide quality perinatal care to everyone who needs it. We help our clients and their partners by providing them with evidence-based childbirth education, emotional and physical support, community based resources, postpartum planning, and more. Additionally, we assist our clients in becoming confident about the journey they are embarking on.

As a licensed, Certified Professional Midwife, I offer compassionate, inclusive care rooted in evidence-based practices, cultural awareness, and holistic support. Here’s what you can expect:

Prenatal Care

Comprehensive prenatal support to guide you through a healthy pregnancy:

Initial consultation & risk screening

Monthly visits until 28 weeks, biweekly until 36 weeks, then weekly until birth

In-home or office-based visits, depending on your preference

Physical exams, labs, and fetal assessments

Nutritional and lifestyle counseling

Home Birth & Water Birth Services

Safe, supported birth in the comfort of your home:

On-call availability 24/7 beginning at 37 weeks

Midwife + assistant present for labor, birth, and immediate postpartum

Birth pool rental and water birth support (if desired)

Monitoring of maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor

Respectful, hands-on labor support

Management of normal newborn delivery

Immediate postpartum care, including newborn exam and breastfeeding support

Delayed cord clamping, skin-to-skin, and cultural birth preferences honored

Water Birth (optional)

Relaxing and natural pain relief:

Birth pool guidance, rental, and setup support

Safe monitoring while laboring or birthing in water

Peaceful, supported transition for baby

Postpartum Care

In-home care and support for you and your baby:

Postpartum visits at 24–48 hours, 1 week, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and 6 weeks

Newborn screenings (as required by your state)

Breastfeeding/chestfeeding guidance

Emotional wellness check-ins (including postpartum mood support)

Family planning and recovery guidance

Referrals to community resources when needed

Placenta Services (optional add-on)
